Per the Los Angeles Times, a fresh earthquake shook the Los Angeles area Tuesday evening, although it was immediately unclear if this was an aftershock from Sunday’s jolt. The new quake recorded at 4.1 about two miles from Hawthorne, Calif.

Sunday’s quake registered at 5.0 but it was later downgraded to 4.7, per the Times.

L.A. Twitterers are worried that the recent seismic activity is the predecessor of something more major.
