Per BBC, at least one person has died during a massive protest in Tehran on Monday , while local Twitterers say that seven or more have been killed. Hundreds of thousands of people attended the largest demonstration in the Islamic republic’s 30-year history, described by a BBC correspondent as a “political earthquake,” protesting the presidential election results.

Two days ago, Breaking Tweets reported the first deaths of Iranians in protest of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s re-election. At least three were confirmed dead this weekend with rumors that the number may be much higher, 50 or even 100.

#iranelection is a trending topic on Twitter for the third straight day. Twitter users Monday began adding a green tint to their profile pictures in support of Iranians, using the hashtag #Green4Iran to tweet about it.
