Twitter user reports from scene of Jakarta explosions

Andre Siregar, a tech enthusiast and Indonesian national living in Singapore per his Twitter feed and Tumblr site, was staying at the Ritz Carlton hotel in Jakarta where a bomb exploded Friday morning.

He provided many of the following breaking tweets before media reports even addressed the incident and also posted a TwitPic (see below):

  • Once again, terrorists have killed and wounded innocent people. My sympathies to the victims of these tragic attacks and their families.     One more reason to avoid those very expensive hotels and to go to the backpack ones. But for all those people in business trip, it is difficult to avoid those hotels.
