Indonesian officials are backing off original statements that Malaysian terror mastermind Noordin Mohammed Top had been killed in a recent raid after DNA results showed there was not a match, according to BBC.

Just five days ago, numerous media outlets reported that Noordin M. Top was killed by Densus 88, Indonesia’s anti-terrorism squad. Top is the alleged leader behind the Bali bombings in 2002 and July 17 Jakarta hotel bombings.
