Three train collision in the Netherlands leaves one dead

Two cargo trains collided and hit a passenger train near Barendrecht outside Rotterdam, Netherlands on Thursday night, according to EarthTimes. Police closed A15 motorway and train traffic between Rotterdam Central and Dordrecht was immediately stopped by NS Railways.

The driver of one of the freight trains died, though nearly 150 passengers were unhurt, according to police, AFP reported.
