Strong earthquake hits Samoan Islands, causes 10-foot tsunami

A preliminary-magnitude 7.9 earthquake hit the American Samoan Islands Tuesday afternoon. Later reports revised the number to an 8.3 quake.

According to BNO News, the massive earthquake hit the South Pacific and generated a 10-foot tsunami. Tsunami warnings have been in effect throughout the region, but there is no word on any damages or casualties.
