The IOC first announced that Chicago and Tokyo received the lowest number of votes in two rounds of voting shortly ago and were eliminated for the rights to host the 2016 Summer Olympic Games.

Madrid and Rio de Janeiro are the candidate cities left in the running to host the 2016 Olympics. The votes have been cast and IOC President Rogge announced that they did indeed vote a winning bid city. The winner will be announced after a short break in Copenhagen.
