Louvre McDonald’s sparks controversy in Europe

Paris is well known for its spectacular lights, priceless art, fine dining, and of course, the Eiffel Tower.

That’s why Parisians and others in Europe are puzzled by the news that a McDonald’s, perhaps the greatest symbol of American consumerism, will be opening at the Louvre Museum next month.

The unusual clash between French and American cultures, unfathomable to some Europeans, was first reported by The Daily Telegraph (UK).

It has Twitter users in both France and England up in arms:
