Sidekick and T-Mobile users infuriated by blackout over weekend

As early as Friday morning, Sidekick users were looking to the message boards of both T-Mobile and Hiptop (official website for developer of the Sidekick) for answers as to why they were not able to access the data on their phone.

Many angered customers were reporting that they were not able to access e-mail, internet, Facebook, and MySpace.  They were, reported Yahoo Tech, able to receive and make calls and use SMS.

Today, the problem has still not been fixed. People have begun voicing their outrage, discussing how inconvenient this blackout has been, especially for those who use their phone to work. There have been complaints about T-Mobile’s lack of customer service and information that has been made available to their users.

Many people have turned to Twitter to voice their outrage with this service and hope that they can somehow be compensated for this inconvenience. The hashtag #tmobilesucks has become a Trending Topic on Twitter:
