Canadian researchers claim breakthrough in breast cancer

Scientists in Canada have successfully decoded the 3-billion-letter sequence “of a metastatic lobular breast cancer tumour,” one that accounts for about one-tenth of all breast cancers, for the first time in history, according to a press release.

The scientists from BC Cancer Agency in British Columbia have uncovered all of the mutations that cause this type of tumor to spread.

The study has the potential to help scientists understand how breast cancer begins and spreads, as well as develop cutting-edge treatments.

  • This is absolutely great news for all the victims of breast cancer. Finally, after years of trying to discover what can be done to cure this disease, scientists can now see the light at the end of the tunnel. Of course, it's not that much, but it gives patients a glimpse of hope that they can finally get rid of this horrible condition and return to a life without hard, painful treatments.

I am the bone of my sword

Still is my body and fire is my blood
I have created over a thousand blades

    Unknown to Death

    Nor known to life

Have withstood pain to create many weapons

Yet, those hands will never hold anything

So as I pray, unlimited blade works.
