TwitPics: NASA’s moon damage

NASA succesfully launched the LCROSS spacecraft crashing into the moon’s lunar south pole Friday morning according to AP news. They were searching to determine if there is water on the moon.

Unexpectedly, there weren’t any pictures immediately available because of darkness and dust clouds, disappointing the public and NASA officials. Twitterers responded:

jake_hooten (Atlanta, GA) What a waste of my morning!! @nasa LCROSS moon bomb was a dud!!!! If we don’t see pictures, did it actually happen?
  2. rangerj
rangerj (UK) Watched NASA LCROSS probe slam into the moon – great science but dull to watch as no live pictures of plume from the trailing sensors

The photos were clarified and released later during the day.

Thanks for sharing. Where'd you get this exactly? Can you please send confirmation it was the moon event from NASA site or something? Would love to add to this post.
