New and free online auctioning at Listia.com

According to TechCrunch, Listia.com has been growing since first being introduced in August. It has been doing so well and sparking interest in many people, that it raised $400,000 in financing from Implisitic Capital – a lot of money to be invested in a Web site based solely on giving and getting things for free.

Listia comes across as more user friendly than sites such as Ebay or Craigslist due to the fact that there is no money involved; people bid on items with points they receive for signing up, listing items, and referring friends. There is also no worries of a plethora of emails concerning listed items, or the risk of a “no-show” when an item is sold.

Twitter users are tweeting about different items they are listing on Listia.com and are sharing interest and excitement towards auctioning for free stuff.
