Bruce Wasserstein death overshadowed on Twitter by Captain Lou death

Bruce Wasserstein died today at the age of 61. After being hospitalized on Sunday for an irregular heartbeat, news broke today of his death.

Most well-known as CEO of Lazard Ltd., many were sad to see such a prominent figure on Wall Street to pass away.

Business Insider reported, “Wasserstein was a Wall Street legend. He was the driving force behind many of America’s largest takeovers in the 1980s and 1990s”.

While many have recognized the tragedy of Wasserstein, the death of Captain Lou, WWF and Cyndi Lauper music video star, has gained more recognition on Twitter. Captain Lou Albano died today at 76., NY Daily News reports.

Not long after the announcement of Captain Lou’s death, his name became a trending topic.
