Twitter reached a landmark deal Wednesday with Bharti Airtel, India’s largest mobile provider, to enable SMS tweets through a service called TweetSMS, according to multiple media reports.

India is already one of Twitter’s largest subscriber bases with more than 5 million registered users, Times of India reports. That number will climb, experts say, now that this deal has been arranged.

But not all were thrilled, as every tweet sent will cost, though tweets can be received for free.
