Radio Netherlands reports, Somali pirates are demanding seven million U.S. dollars in ransom for a British couple kidnapped over a week ago as they were crossing the Indian Ocean in a yacht.

The couple was sailing from the Seychelles to Tanzania and the UK Foreign Office says the British government is not accepting the Somali pirates’ offer, per Radio Netherlands.
