Music legend Michael Jackson has postponed the start of his London concert series, according to LATimes.com.

In a news conference with the concerts’ organizers, it was announced that Jackson will begin his 50-show gig at O2 Arena July 13, 5 days later than originally planned.

“This is strictly a production issue,” said Randy Phillips of AEG Live, the  production company behind the series.

Calling the plans “massive and technically complex,” some of the delayed concerts won’t take place until 2010.
