Wayne Allwine, Voice of Mickey Mouse, Dead at 62

Wayne Allwine, the voice of Mickey Mouse, died Monday, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Allwine provided sound for Disney beginning in the 1970s and even married Russi Taylor, the voice of Minnie Mouse.

Disney released a statement saying “Wayne not only gave voice to the character of Mickey but gave him a heart and soul as well.”

Tweeters were saddened by the loss of this Emmy-winning artist.
