MTV Movie Awards Ratings Up 78 Percent

The Andy Samberg-hosted MTV Movie Awards netted the network its best ratings in 5 years, Broadcasting & Cable reports.

The 78-percent gain over 2008’s edition could be attributed to the cult-following of Twilight, which was up for–and won–the most awards, and the premiere of several exclusive film clips.

The show made headlines for a controversial incident between Bruno and Eminem, which added to the number of on-line viewings.
