Audiences Love “The Proposal”
A chick-flick took on the frat-pack at the box office this weekend – and won.
After clinching the top spot two weeks in a row, “The Hangover” failed to complete the hat trick and fell to the romantic comedy, “The Proposal,” according to Entertainment Weekly.
Starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds, “The Proposal” brought in $34.1 million during its debut weekend, making it the most successful opening of Bullock’s career.
Pixar’s “Up” found itself in the top three for the fourth week in a row, earning $21.3 million. “Up’s” box office grand total is now at $224 million.
