“Transformers 2″ Takes Over The Box Office
Marking the best three-day opening of the summer so far, “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” trampled the competition at the box office this weekend, grossing $112 million between Friday and Sunday.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the robot-focused action flick grossed an estimated $201 million over its first 5 days, second only to “The Dark Knight’s” 5-day opening of $203 million last year.
Romantic comedy “The Proposal,” starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds, took the runner-up spot, bringing in $18.5 million during its second weekend. “The Hangover” continued to prove its staying power with a third-place total of $17.2 million.

JenBJonas saw “The Proposal” yesterday with her Mom, and Tonya P. It was sooo good. Now my fave movie. EXTREMELY HILARIOUS. Lots of adult humor. Silveremania I almost peed myself watching “The Proposal” with Michelle on Sun. Laughter makes the gloomies go away. So did finding a jumbo tootsie roll! jacobtwop OMG The Proposal is like guy repellent spray. Why? What is it? Need more lady friends I guess. They aren’t so insecure about movie choices. Gorgoues_Aly Just got back from the movies, =) I went to see the proposal. Ah-mazing….!! ;D My tears were falling. :’)
iEmilie saw The Hangover this weekend with my Granny… it was her second time to see it… should I be concerned? mariiaa1 I saw ‘The Hangover’ on Saturday. Laughed a bunch, altho it had some typical elements in it … x alisa26 seeing the Hangover last night really makes me sad that I cant go to Vegas in August! BrittLC THE Hangover = THE funniest movie to date.
