High School Hosts “‘Twilight’ Symposium”

Any reader of “Twilight” longs to have a high school experience like Bella Swan’s. According to MTV.com, now you can– kind of.

The city of Forks, Washington–where the books and films take place–is now home to a booming “Twilight” tourist district and the newest addition, the “‘Twilight’ Symposium” at Forks High School, did its best to give attendees the most realistic experience possible.

The school in Forks took attendees around the small town (population: 3,000), from the forest where many scenes in “New Moon” take place to the Cullen home and the restaurant where Bella and Edward had their first “date.” The week even ended with a Forks High School prom and graduation complete with diplomas.

The school has Bella’s and Edward’s lockers labeled as well as the parking spot where Bella was nearly hit before Edward came to her rescue. One Twilighter bragged that she even got to take the flight that Bella took to Forks (from Phoenix to Seattle to Forks).

Some Twitterers were beyond excited to hear about and go to the symposium, but others were confused or even angry about it:
