After more than one million people registered for tickets to Michael Jackson’s memorial service, only about 8,000 were chosen to receive them, CNN.com reports. Those who were chosen received e-mail notification this evening letting them know how they could pick up their two tickets.

The memorial, which will be held Tuesday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and simulcast at the Nokia Theater nearby, will also air live on various television channels.
