September may feel like a long time to wait for season four of “Dexter,” but according to thrfeed.com, patience will be rewarded to those who wait in the form of a prequel consisting of 12 animated webisodes.

Michael C. Hall will narrate the shorts, titled “Early Cuts,” which explore the early days of Dexter’s craft and evolution.

“Dexter” fans are excited to see the prequel:
