Disney to Charge For Online Content

“Beauty and the Beast,” “Aladdin,” “Pocahontas,” “Mulan”– these are the Disney classics of the 90s, most of which are stuck on VHS tapes in our basements. But that needn’t be the case for long, according to The Hollywood Reporter. For a fee, these classics will soon be easily accessible on the internet.

President and CEO of Disney, Robert Iger, announced at Fortune Magazine’s Brainstorm: Tech conference a plan to put content online with a subscription fee.

“There’s plenty of room for people to spend more money on things that they’re doing online,” Iger said.
