The CW took publicity stunts  to a new level for their upcoming remake of “Melrose Place,” which debuts September 8 at 9/8c.

The first was a tour of the apartment complex, 4616 Melrose Place, with an actor pretending to be a real estate agent putting the property up for sale on TVGuide.com.  Viewers are then directed to melroseplaceapts.com where they can even fill out a renter’s application.

With the first stunt receiving little response from tweeps, The CW also sent out a “Melrose Place” stretch party limo (pool included) to pass out ice cream to people on the streets of New York, Boston, Chicago, and L.A. the entire Labor Day weekend.

Even if the free ice cream did not convince people to watch the show, tweople said they still enjoyed it:
