According to E! Online, Chris Brown isn’t actually scheduled to take part in the tribute to Michael Jackson in Vienna on Sept. 26.

Yesterday Jermaine Jackson named Brown, along with Mary J. Blige, Natalie Cole, Akon and Sister Sledge, as the first among many artists who will perform at the tribute concert. Hours later Brown’s publicist denied the news, saying that nothing has been confirmed.

Due to his sentence for the Rihanna assault incident, Brown will need to receive court approval in order to perform at the overseas concert.  The article also says “publicists for Blige and Cole said neither R&B star had committed to the show.”

Some tweeps criticized Jermaine Jackson for his unconfirmed announcements, while the rest of the Twitterverse was divided about the news:
