Nearly four months after it was announced, the joint-headlining tour for Kanye West and Lady Gaga has been canceled, according to MTV News.

MTV says no reason for the cancellation was given in the press release sent out by Live Nation, the tour’s promoter.  But many speculated about the tour’s future last month following West’s controversial actions at the MTV Video Music Awards.  Lady Gaga, however, had been promoting the tour as recently as last week.

The Twitterverse is responding en masse to the news, with Kanye West, Lady Gaga, Cancelled and Fame Kills (the name of the tour) all currently on Twitter’s Trending Topics.
