Filming of “Jon and Kate Plus 8″ Suspended

According to reports from PEOPLE.com, production of TLC’s popular television show “Jon and Kate Plus 8″ has been temporarily suspended due to Jon Gosselin’s refusal to allow continuation of filming.

After it was announced earlier this week the show would be renamed “Kate Plus 8,” Jon made his own announcement: he was discontinuing his support of the show. Without Jon’s approval, TLC cannot continue to film his children for the show. It is unclear if and when filming will resume.

Tweets about the latest drama have been plentiful but showing mixed support:

    John Goesslin is such a selfish child. It's extremely obvious that he is using anything at his disposal to lash out at his wife Kate.
    But the worst is his comment that he's ending the show for his children because it's destroying their lives. The only life that is being destroyed is his becasue of his personality defects. He is a whiney little baby.

    if he thought one second about those kids he would get the hell out of the way and let them collect money from the show to pay for what will otherwise be a huge costs involved raising 8 KIDS!
    ITS ALL ABOUT HIS EGO BEING CRUSHED WHEN THEY KICKED HIM OFF.

    And, did he think he was some kind of star and the show would last forever?
    This stupid ass doesn't even know who watches his show---ITS WOMEN VIEWERS YOU IDIOT?
    Maybe we can give you a lesson on how to interact with other people John without escalating problems and temper tantrums.
