Lady Gaga won’t be letting Kanye West’s sudden departure from their “Fame Kills” tour stop her from heading out on her own. According to Billboard.com, the “Love Game” singer will “be embarking on her own headlining tour soon, and West plans to drop out of the spotlight.”

Gaga told reporters at the Billboard Music Awards the decision for West to drop out was mutual and she would be going on tour herself in the coming weeks.

Lori Ann Gibson, Gaga’s longtime choreographer told fans via Twitter that “creative differences” between the Gaga and West led to the tour’s abrupt demise.

The cancellation announcement from Live Nation comes days after both stars released the tour dates. Live Nation will issue refunds for tickets.

The sudden change is adding to West’s negative publicity, which most recently came following an altercation with country singer Taylor Swift at the MTV Video Music Awards. West appeared on stage during Swift’s acceptance speech for Best Female Video and interrupted the starlet saying Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” video was more deserving of the award. After the backlash West received, he apologized and said he planned to take some time off.
