ABC has named former “Bachelorette” contestant Jake Pavelka as the newest “Bachelor,” People.com reports.

The 31-year-old pilot from Dallas feels confident he will find “the one” and cites his experiences on the “Bachelorette” as helping his understanding of the process of really falling in love.

Pavelka and his 25 eager bachelorettes will begin filming for the new season in a just a few days.  The completed episodes will air in early 2010.  Fans can also follow the newest bachelor on Twitter under @jakethebachelor.
