The long-awaited Michael Jackson documentary “This Is It,” which featured footage of the so-called King of Pop’s last rehearsals, opened in theaters nationwide today.

Earlier this week, fans were treated to a new album of Jackson music as well as a MTV special that aired Tuesday night, the same night as the premiere of the film.

A special compilation of Jackson’s greatest hits, along with the previously unreleased single “This Is It,” was released on Monday with the same “This Is It” name.

The album is an accompanying piece to the film, as the songs are in the same order as they appear in the movie. The order is also presumably the same as they would have been during Jackson’s comeback tour in London.

Some tweeps couldn’t wait for the album, while others were less enthusiastic:
