Michael Jackson’s “This Is It” Documentary in Theaters Through Thanksgiving Weekend

Sony Pictures has announced that it will extend the run of the Michael Jackson documentary “This Is It” through Thanksgiving Weekend, Entertainment Weekly reports.

The movie, which opened Oct. 28, was originally slated for a two-week run at the theaters.  In its opening weekend, “This Is It” grossed $21.3 million domestically and $101 million worldwide.

Most tweeps greeted the news positively, while a few wondered if the original two-week limit had been a marketing ploy:
