At the 2009 Country Music Association Awards on Wednesday night in Nashville, 19-year-old Taylor Swift became the youngest singer ever to win the Entertainer of the Year award, reports MSN.

Swift sweeped the CMA Awards, winning in all four of the categories in which she was nominated.

In addition to winning the top award, Swift also won the Female Vocalist award and nabbed Album of the Year for her sophomore album “Fearless,” which was just re-released last month. Swift’s ”Love Story” captured the Music Video of the Year award.

“Taylor Swift” became a Trending Topic on Twitter following the show as tweeps either congratulated Swift or voiced their disappointment that she won:

The CMAs were hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood. Other big winners included Paisley, Lady Antebellum and Darius Rucker.

Paisley was named the Male Vocalist of the Year and also won Musical Event of the Year along with Keith Urban for their duet “Start a Band.”   Lady Antebellum’s “I Run to You” won as the Single of the Year and the band was named the Vocal Group of the Year.  The New Artist of the Year award went to Darius Rucker.
