In the spirit of the November 20 opening of “New Moon,”  yesterday Stephanie Meyer gave her first and only interview to Oprah on “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” EW.com reports.  Meyer discussed how, as a stay-at-home mom of three, she had never even written a short story before penning the hit “Twilight” series.  Meyer also revealed that her mother encouraged her to spice up her original ending in “New Moon.”

Before a commercial break, Oprah posed a question about a possible fifth “Twilight” book.  When the show returned, however, Oprah never asked the question.  A rep for the show commented that the question was cut for time because it is a live show.

“New Moon” stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner are featured on this week’s cover of Entertainment Weekly.  They are currently filming “Eclipse,” the next “Twilight” novel to be adapted to the screen.  In their interview with the magazine, they gave behind-the-scenes exclusive  details about their experiences filming the “Twilight Saga.”
