Singer-actress Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has confirmed that she will be starring on Broadway revival of the musical “Chicago,” PEOPLE reports.

Simpson-Wentz, whose role as Violet Foster on “Melrose Place” will soon end, will star as Roxie Hart starting on Nov. 30. She previously held the role in the London run of “Chicago” but this will be her Broadway debut.

A few fans greeted the news with happiness while many others had less positive reactions:
