Taylor Swift, Michael Jackson Win Most American Music Awards

Sunday night the Twitterverse turned its attention to the much-promoted American Music Awards, which honored the best in music and featured performances from more than a dozen hit singers and bands.  Award nominations were announced in October.

Hundreds of tweets came in every second, as tweeps reacted to the awards as they were presented by fellow musicians and famous actors. Taylor Swift took home the most awards, winning all 5 categories she was nominated in.

The late Michael Jackson won his 22nd and 23rd awards–the most of any artist in the history of the show. His brother Jermaine Jackson accepted the awards on his behalf. Jackson, however, lost the biggest award of the night–Artist of the Year–to Swift, who he had tied with the most nominations.
