A new edition of “Iron Chef” premiered Sunday with Michelle Obama opening the White House garden to the  competing chefs. The contestants had to literally dig out the key ingredients–vegetables–for their dishes, reports The New York Times and CBS News.

Food Network personality Bobby Flay and White House executive chef Cristeta Comerford were teamed up together and beat renowned chefs Emeril Lagasse and Mario Batali.
