“The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love” Premieres

After weeks of endless promos, “The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love,” the newest edition of the hit ABC show, premiered Monday night. The bachelor this season is 31-year-old commercial pilot Jake Pavelka. Pavelka appeared as a contestant on the last season of “The Bachelorette,” but was rejected by bachelorette Jillian Harris.

Pavelka will be blogging about his experiences for PEOPLE.com. In the first episode, the Texan narrowed down the selection of 25 female contestants to  15.

In addition to the typical drama onscreen, host Chris Harrison revealed before the show’s airing that a male producer had a relationship with one of the female contestants during filming, reports CNN.com.  Harrison called the relationship “embarrassing” and said it will be addressed in a future episode.
