MTV’s “The Real World” will return to New Orleans for its 24th season, the Orlando Sentinel reports.  The show’s executive producer, Jon Murray, stated he hopes the show can help the city come back to life from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.

The show previously filmed there for its ninth season, which aired in 2000. Other reused locations include New York City and Los Angeles/Hollywood.

Some tweeps are excited to learn of the “Real World’s” return to New Orleans while others feel the show is past its prime:
