As rescue workers continue to try to save as many people as possible from the aftermath of the January 12 earthquake in Haiti, numerous celebrities are using their fame to try to get people to donate to the relief fund or otherwise help the cause.

Haitian-born musician Wyclef Jean, who returned to his country the day after a 7.0 magnitude hit near the capital of Port-au-Prince, is spearheading the call for help. Through his blog, Jean asked people to donate $5 to his Yele Haiti Earthquake Fund, either online or by texting “YELE” to 501501.

Actress Olivia Wilde from the FOX show “House” also personally appealed to fans. In a tweet, Wilde promised a personalized video thank-you to anyone who donates more than $200 toward the cause via Artists for Peace and Justice.

Other celebrities such as Lindsay Lohan, Alyssa Milano and Demi Moore are also asking their fans to help out in any way they can.
