The Twitterverse was abuzz Thursday night as ABC aired a “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Private Practice” crossover event. Characters from “Grey’s” appeared on “Practice” and vice versa, allowing for the intersection of storylines–particularly in the form of dramatic medical issues and sexual tension.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the “crossover dominated Thursday night in the ratings,” with “Grey’s Anatomy” having more than 12 million viewers while “Private Practice” had 11 million.

This was not the first time the writers have mixed the two shows, but the vast majority of viewers seemed to love the episodes, with only a few fans feeling less than thrilled:
