Tonight “American Idol” took their auditions to Chicago, where only 13 people received golden tickets to Hollywood. After the show, plenty were tweeting on the slim pickings in the Windy City:

   Mickietha Ugh.. I wish American Idol showed more of tha good singers…its like tha bad ones are funny and all, but damn isn’t this a talent search??

One of Chicago’s most colorful characters was Brian Krause, who channeled “Tiny Tim” in his audition. The Twitterverse was busy ridiculing the former military man after his performance, a far different response than General Larry Platt received last week with “Pants On The Ground.”

Shania Twain was tonight’s guest judge and the consensus on among “Idol” fans on Twitter was that Twain should be a permanent addition to the panel!
