The Who Rock Out Super Bowl XLIV

English rock band The Who offered millions of stadium fans and television viewers some of their greatest hits during the Super Bowl XLIV halftime show.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers sang five songs during their 12-minute set, including “Who Are You,” “Baba O’Riley” and “Won’t Get Fooled Again.” Fireworks and lighting tricks created a spectacle as the band performed with its two surviving members, vocalist Roger Daltrey and guitarist Pete Townshend.

Earlier in the night, Queen Latifah sang “America the Beautiful” and Carrie Underwood performed the national anthem.

Many tweeps seemed to be disappointed in this year’s Super Bowl entertainment:

The New OrleansĀ Saints won their first-ever Super Bowl title, 31-17, against the Indianapolis Colts.
