Hollywood Week continued on “American Idol” Wednesday night, with the contestants forming their own groups and performing part of a song. The group performances on “Idol” are always sure to cause cringing and tonight was no exception. “Idol” fans were tweeting about all the sabotaging, domineering and weeping that went on during the show.

Several groups sang Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” or Gwen Stefani’s “The Sweet Escape.” Among the contestants, most notable were Mary Powers, who had no problem telling her group what to do, and Michael Lynche (”Big Mike”), who listened on his iPhone as his wife gave birth to their daughter back home.
