It’s Guys vs. Girls on “American Idol”

On “American Idol” this week, its been guys against girls, with the ten male contestants performing on Tuesday night and the ten female hopefuls following on Wednesday.

Originally, the girls were set to go first, but when an unspecified illness put contestant Crystal Bowersox in the hospital, the two groups switched nights. Although both the guys and girls had stronger performances than last week, the judges honed in on rough spots for many contestants on both nights, leaving the Twitterverse debating which sex fared better:

  1. Andrew Sachdev
AndrewSachdev I say this year American idol guys are good (except Tim Burton & John Park) and the girls are not to standard compared to previous years.
  2. Holly Thompson

  3. Kay Baley

  4. Stephen Northcott
thescratt Dear American Idol : Ditch *all* the guys. They are crap. Keep Bowersocks and the kooky glass blowing chick. And just have a sing off.
  5. Chelsea
ih3artSelenaG What did you think of American Idol last night? I think half the girls on there can NOT sing. — I think the guys are gonna win this year!

  8. Anna Marie Mathew

  9. Jenny Emily Devlin
JennyEmily My favorite on American Idol is Lilly Scott. I love her unusual voice. None of the others are very good and the guys are worse.
