The 82nd Annual Academy Awards are about to begin on ABC. This year, the Best Picture category has been expanded from five nominees to ten, in an attempt to draw more viewers and make the ceremony more inclusive. There may be other twists in store, so refresh this page through the show for a complete list of winners along with reactions from Twitter users.

Thanks for reading our live blog. The Academy Awards are now over, but Twitter users continue to react:

  1. Susan Larison Danz
bridgebldr Watching Twitter made watching #oscars much more interesting this year (& program itself was exceptionally uninteresting)
  2. Tina Dupuy
tinadupuy The Academy Awards should not hand out Oscars for editing until they learn how to edit the Academy Awards.
  3. DAVE RYAN
THISISDAVERYAN I wish one of the girls fell on their stupid dresses at the oscars, if I go to award shows ever I’m showing up in jeans

  5. Kelly P
pinupkelly The Oscars were good! Kinda upset that Precious & Inglourious Basterds didn’t take home more awards, but at least Avatar didnt win Best Pic.
  6. Diana Pop
dianapop Little disappointed, but VERY predictable. Oscars have long since stopped being a compass to quality, Americans just award movies they like.
  7. Ryan Wilsey
Bandrik Spent the time tonight playing Band Hero with friends instead of watching the Oscars. I looked at the list & satisfied with the selections.
  8. Aura Fedora
AuraFedora I think that this was one of the better ceremonies in a long time-and I was skeptical earlier. #oscars
  9. helene smith
helene_smith @markpvenema The Oscars hosts/humor was the worst EVER this year. so bad that the actors in the audience didn’t know how to react!… IMO
