In what was expected to be a tight race for the top of the Box Office, it turns out the competition wasn’t even close. Initial reports claimed “Date Night” and “Clash of the Titans” were in a too-close-to-call contest; some even claimed “Date Night” the victor. When the final results came in, however, “Clash of the Titans” reigned supreme, beating out “Date Night” by more than $1 million per EW.com. “Titans” earned $26.6 million and “Date Night” made $25.2 million.

Coming in third was Dreamworks’ “How to Train Your Dragon,” which earned $25.4 million in its third weekend. “Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married Too” took the fourth spot earning $11 million and “The Last Song” rounded out the top five with $10.1 million according to USA Today.
