Letter From the Editor: BT Entertainment Celebrates Its First Birthday

Breaking Tweets Entertainment turns one today!

Since that first post on Coachella a year ago, Breaking Tweets Entertainment has welcomed new contributors, changed editors, covered hundreds of stories, featured thousands of tweets and most importantly, continued to bring entertainment news, Twitter-style, to readers around the world.

We continue to be the only entertainment Web site that uses Twitter feedback from consumers of entertainment news to report that news. Beyond reporting news, we have also continued our tradition of live-blogging major entertainment events such as the Oscars and the Grammys, allowing Twitter users around the world to see real-time what others’ opinions are.

BT Entertainment is also now the sole active Web site of the Breaking Tweets Network and we have so many people to thank for helping us continue to be up and running. Our founding editor, Shari Weiss, did an incredible job setting up this site and introducing the concept of using tweets in entertainment stories to the world of Twitter. Our contributors are the lifeline of this Web site. Without them volunteering their time to write for BT Entertainment, we would not be able to stay active. And of course, our readers and loyal followers are the ones who motivate us to keep on going. We hope to continue expanding as BT Entertainment enters its second year and hope that you will consider supporting us in our efforts.

We are happy to celebrate Breaking Tweets Entertainment’s first birthday with all of you. Please always feel free to tweet or DM us @BTEntertainment with comments, questions, concerns, suggestions, to become a contributor or even just to say hi.

We look forward to continuing on this journey with the Twitterverse.
