MTV has finally announced that Aziz Ansari will be the host of the 2010 MTV Movie Awards after weeks of speculation. Ansari, who appeared last year at the awards show during a Star Trek spoof, may not be a household named yet, but that will soon change. With a co-starring role on “Parks & Recreation” and an appearance in the movie “Funny People” with Adam Sandler, he is well on his way to being a comedy star.

The 2010 MTV Movie Awards is set to air Sunday, June 6 live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California. You can vote for your favorite movies on MTV.com starting May 11 until June 5.
