Fourth “Bourne” Movie on the Way, With or Without Matt Damon

According to EW.com, a fourth “Bourne” movie is currently being scripted by Tony Gilroy, who wrote the scripts for the previous three installments.

The successful Universal Pictures franchise, loosely based on the works of the late Robert Ludlum, has already signed on some of the past producers but has yet to confirm star Matt Damon for the new film. Damon has previously noted that he would not consider a fourth movie unless Paul Greengrass, who directed the first three films, also returns.

Tentatively-named “The Bourne Legacy” to correspond with the fourth book in the Jason Bourne series, the new movie is due to be released in 2012.

Despite being excited for a fourth film, fans are voicing their concerns that the movies won’t work without Damon.

    NO WAY....a Bourne movie without Matt Damon...I DON'T THINK SO!!!!!!!!!!!!! My husband and I just watched all the Bourne movies again. We had them all, but bought them all again on Blu Ray....we were so excited about a 4th movie, but not now.....unbelievable.....
